As an outsider looking in to City I can't help but think that on the pitch they have not yet delivered in proportion to the investment that has been made. There is no doubting the impressiveness of what is going on off the pitch in terms of infrastructure, but even that looks a bit hollow so far in terms of young players coming through.Would be interested in hearing what City fans think.
Trippier is far better crosser than WalkerWon't hear too many regrets from Spurs fansGood luck to him anyway£50m ! thanx City
What's Chellini worth then?
If Walker is £50m, surely City will pay £70m plus for Sanchez. I hope Arsene finds the guts to sell Sanchez now while he is at his peak. His game requires so much physique that it's only a matter of time before his body breaks down (like Michael Essien)
174. Posted by Ruffshank Dufflebonk Utd havent had 3 sugar daddys, most of the money they spend is earned through merchandise and other things, Unlike city who have spent a billion pounds of oil barron money and only won 2 titles
Oooops!!! Another one bites the dust.
50 million for another average player-are City getting desperate?
For PSG he will score more goals than Cavani. Great buy.
I'm sure Spurs fan won't complain too much about this. Absurd amount of money. Trippier had a really good ending to the season, especially with his assists. He has a very good chance now of cementing that first choice RB position.
If City is willing to spend 50 million pounds for Kyle Walkerthen the Pogba mark isn't going to last very long...
176. Posted by markThey didn't need oneThe BBC created the institution BEFORE you topped Liverpool .If you arrived in England in the 1970's /80's you would be forgiven for thinking the rags won everything thanks to the BBC's sycophantic coverage back then.Nothings changed only now most of it is justified. They have maintained your status ever since - bit like what they do for the Royals
Ref 174.Man Utd have not had a "sugar daddy" for at least 30 years, unlike most of the top teams. If anything they have had a drain in the past 10 years. No airline to bail them out or Russian oil money.
FYI as well Full backs need to be the fittest players on the field gone are the days of the coach telling you not to cross the half way line now its expected be an overlapping winger as well as a defensive player without a shadow of a doubt the hardest position to play on the football field in todays game.
@168. Rangers were getting 50,000 in the Scottish third division ? Yea right. Tell me which English team holds the record attendance outside Wembley ? @169. City ruining football again. Wonder which team over the years has set more transfer records than any other. That's right united. A team that has had 3 sugar daddies bailing them out over the years.
Another question would be, with Tottenham selling Walker has this shown the level of their ambition i.e. top four or is it a case that £50million is too much to turn down considering they may have a ready made replacement.
168. Posted by Football_understandIt depends on the criteria you apply to prove your viewLeeds & Derby still don't get what City averaged in the third tier EVERY weekLeeds were the biggest /most successful club in Yorkshire for a decadeNo doubts about Rangers in a two horse bigoted CountryNewcastle's gates fell below 14,000 in Dv 2 pre Keegan are they a big club?Chelsea similar
after the walker transfer and according to my maths, 49-year old barry sharples, who was on invalidity allowance until he got his osteoporosis sorted last october, and who plays right-back for the royal oak down the road, is now worth 20 million quid
